The annual MSW Banquet is a celebration and commemoration of the hard work and dedication of graduating students. We invite you to join us!
Who is the banquet for?
The banquet is a celebration for graduating students in the Cal State LA MSW program from both the two-year and three-year cohorts. Tickets are available for these graduating students and their guests, as well as faculty members.
What can I expect on the day of the banquet?
Most of the evening will be for socializing, celebrating, dancing, etc. There will be a pinning ceremony in which each student will be recognized on stage and receive a commemorative Cal State LA MSW 2019 pin. There will be a few speeches from graduating students as well as a guest speaker, and a recognition of the most impactful professors.
What type of food and drinks will be served?
There will be a choice of steak, chicken, and vegetarian dishes, as well as a vegan option. Children's tickets come with chicken strips and fries. There will also be a cash bar available.
What is included with the ticket?
The dinner is included in the ticket price, as well as the commemorative pin for graduating students. Alcoholic beverages are not included, but will be available for purchase.

What is the cost for tickets?
Graduating students: $30
Guests (age 11 and older): $40
Children (age 3-10): $25
Infants (age 2 and younger): Free
How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets may be purchased in person from one of the MSWSO Treasurers, Vania Aviles or Christina DeLeon. Cash, check, and Venmo are accepted. Three-year students can purchase their tickets from Three-Year Liaisons. You can also purchase tickets via the online ordering form.
What is the deadline for purchasing tickets?
Ticket sale ends on April 30th. Tickets will still be available after this date, but the price may increase and availability may be limited.
How can I find the Treasurers/Liaisons to purchase tickets?
The easiest way is to catch them on campus before and after classes, or at MSWSO events. Their schedules are listed below. If you're having trouble finding them, you can email them directly to set up a meeting time.
